{Birthday Party/Events Photographer, Libertyville, IL}
First, a small belated introduction which I think I owe my readers. I was so excited to share the pictures from my photo session in St. Charles with Chalise, Belle and Ford, that I jumped right into the middle of the pool without prompt explanation what this blog is all about. So here it goes a few weeks later :o)
Photography is a very large part of my life. In fact, it is hard to say where it ends as a hobby and starts as business. That line has been long gone as I am taking pictures anywhere, anytime and of everything and everybody who lets me near enough for that, haha. It has become such an integral part of my life that not having a camera in my hands feels strange. Of course as a profession photography pushes me to the new levels (creatively and technologically) and fortunately this is the area where the sky is truly the only limit. As a hobby, however, it lets me relax, go with the flow and capture life’s motion in its purest form.
The point of all this is that my intention is to make this blog a diary of different experiences as a photographer, as a person/mom and as a world traveller. This is why you will see here not only my professional work, which is a big part of this blog and the website, but also journalling of some personal and travel experiences of me and my family, as well as sharing creative ideas, thoughts and experiments. As long as it is either related to photography, or can produce pictures which are worthwhile looking at, that is. So please join me on this fun rollercoaster ride and enjoy!
Secondly, I have a few projects which happened before this website was launched but which I think would be fun to share. One of them is the Beezy Bee smash cake party we organized for our very own busy Bee for her first birthday in January. Even though this is a rather popular theme for small children’s parties, it felt so much like a busy beehive when our baby reached her first milestone, that the idea of turning the house into black and yellow honey comb factory felt like a given. Before we get going though, I would like to make a little disclaimer that I did not (want to) look at the party as a professional photo shoot opportunity and all pictures were taken with my small(er) go-to camera. Hope you enjoy them :o)
