Continuing my Flashback Series where I am trying to catch up on some sessions we did last year. This is one of my favorite sessions which was such great fun! I am constantly on the lookout for some creative ideas and new ways of styling the sessions to make them fun and rememberable. Creativity is such wonderful thing: you never really know when a puzzle pieces of random ideas or sources of inspiration will match perfectly and turn in a complete and clear vision. In this regard traveling is one of the most resourceful ways to search for inspiration, not only in photography: fashion, interior design, lifestyle. Pretty much ANYTHING! The mix of cultures and variety of nature, different ways other people style, decorate and organize their lives are sometimes so wonderful, unexpected and yet simple and brilliant, it almost feels that we cannot afford to stay in one place and not having a peek at how others do it :o) This is one of the reasons I love traveling so much!
Now back to our garden session: this was sometime end of summer – beginning of fall last year when the nature is still rich green and days are bright and sunny, but vibrant fall colors start making their appearance gently and inevitably. The homeowners start decorating their gardens with lots of rich yellow, red and orange. We caught exactly this beautiful moment at the change of seasons and yet the day was beautifully warm and clear. The idea of the “Laundry” session came rather spontaneously and was such a perfect opportunity to display and remember all little baby things from the first year! Moreover, at the age of 8 month this lovely baby was at the perfect age of being able to sit and stand independently but not really properly walking yet: that meant she could not run away and this session could actually happen :o) I hope you enjoy the pictures and appreciate the humor in them :o))
Hugs,
Svetlana
